This privacy statement of Mary Magdalene and Jesus World School describes what personal information we collect and how we use it.
What data do we use?
We use personal data from website visitors for the following purposes:
IP address: To track visitor statistics when a user completes our contact form or expresses an interest in our products or services by subscribing to our newsletter or placing an order.
Email address: To respond to your enquiry, to invite you to consultations, events, courses, workshops or trips to which you have subscribed, for invoicing and dispatch of orders from our web shop and the newsletter to which you have subscribed, to send payment requests and for other correspondence relating to our relationship.
Name: To respond to your request, to invite you to the consultations, events, courses, workshops or trips you have signed up for, to invoice and ship your orders from our web shop, or to send you the newsletter you have signed up for.
Company name, address, postal code and place of residence: To send your web shop orders or matters relating to a course, workshop or spiritual journey and for our administration, to comply with legal administrative obligations.
Telephone number: To contact you regarding a consultation, course, workshop, spiritual journey or order, and for queries regarding unpaid invoices.
Other data recorded: To help us understand our marketing efforts (such as online ads) and to reach potential customers across the web. These third parties may use targeting and advertising cookies to track your online activity and across different channels, including our websites, email, and other websites and applications, to understand your interests, to display advertisements for our organisation, or email you with marketing communication. This privacy notice does not apply to, and we are not responsible for, cookies in third party ads. You should check the privacy policies of advertisers and/or ad services to learn more about their use of cookies and your information.
To whom do we pass on data?
We only use data for ourselves, but in the following cases it may be necessary to pass on your data to others:
Suppliers: We use professional and recognised suppliers, including website operators and hosting companies, to host our website, our newsletters and our invitations to our courses, workshops, events and trips. The hosting company hosts your information in the Netherlands, the website operator only has occasional access to your information as necessary to carry out its administration.
Accountant/bookkeeper: We need to give payment details to our accountant or bookkeeper and ultimately to the tax authorities.
Legal advisers: In the event of a legal dispute with you, we may need to share your information with legal counsel and use it in legal proceedings. We will only share the information that is necessary in connection with the legal proceedings.
Government bodies: If we are required to do so by law, we may need to disclose your information to government agencies, such as the tax authorities.
Advertising partners: We receive information about you from some of our service providers who assist us with marketing or promotional services, related to how you interact with our website, event promotions, advertisements or communications. We require that any third party providing us with personal data contact information has obtained the information lawfully and has the appropriate consent to share the information with us.
We have concluded a processing agreement with all our suppliers and cooperation partners.
What is our policy regarding cookies?
Every website (including ours) is equipped with functional cookies that cannot be turned off. We only use the basic functionality for our own analysis and to be easily found by Google. We do not use any functionality that involves selling data to third parties for marketing purposes.
Do we transfer customer data outside the so-called European Economic Area?
Customer data is only stored within the European Economic Area (EEA), in the Netherlands.
How long will data be kept?
We will not keep your information any longer than is necessary for the purpose for which it was received. If you unsubscribe from our emails, the relevant data will be deleted from our systems and from our providers.
We will keep the data in our records for at least 7 years to comply with all of our legal obligations.
We will delete this data within 1 year after the end of this obligation.
The periods referenced above will apply unless there are further legal obligations for us to retain and/or make available the data for longer.
What are your rights?
You have the right to access your data, correct inaccuracies, delete or block data in certain cases, and object to data processing.
