In August 2024 we went to Scotland with a group of 23 participants from the Netherlands and Belgium. It was our first time there since 2019. And also the last time, since Covid stood in the way of a second visit. But now all the signs were green for an eight-day event.
However, it is a difficult journey, because the spiritual places in Scotland are far apart and the Scottish nature is challenging. And also because the various buses, ferries and hotels have to be used. The weather can also play a part, and it did for us. Temperatures hovered around 16 degrees and wind and rain were a regular occurrence. For example, we were unable to get to the Druid initiation island of Staffa because of high waves. The Scots complained that it never got to be summer this year. However, the trip was so interesting and the atmosphere so good that the group did not care.
Near Edinburgh we visited the famous Rosslyn Chapel, of Da Vinci Code fame, before heading to the southern Highlands. There we spent two days visiting Queens View, Outlanders Craigh Na Dun, Aberfeldy, Croft Moraig Stone Circle, Fortingall’s five thousand year old yew tree and the extraordinary Praying Hands of Mary. Some of the group also climbed the 1083 metre high Schiehaillion, known to the Scots as the Fairytale Hill of the Caledonians. A mountain comparable in spiritual significance to Bugarach near Rennes-le-Chateau.
Via the harbour town of Oban we arrived on the big island of Mull, where we were able to admire the beautiful stained glass window of Jesus with a pregnant Mary Magdalene at Dervaig. We visited the harbour town of Tobermory before embarking for Iona, described by the Masters in a recent revelation as the pineal gland of the earth. There we stayed for four days, meditating regularly, praying, singing, receiving blessings and healings from the Masters in a beautiful hall, and connecting with each other on a deep level under Gabriela’s guidance. Of course we visited the famous abbey, Mount Dun-i and, after a wet climb, Columba’s beach, where a few hundred years before the reformer Columba, Mary Magdalene and Jesus came to visit the Druid island. How special to be there together now.
In the various places we visited, Gabriela received messages from Mary Magdalene and Jesus for the group. These revelations are likely to be published in the third volume of the series, The Leadership of Mary Magdalene. Several participants commented: “The journey has been a lot, sometimes crossing boundaries, but oh so fascinating. There is a lot to be processed.”
It is clear that we will be going to Scotland regularly in the coming years. Possibly to other destinations too. Aye!
